CONCERT: The Homegrown String Band, a twentyfirst century incarnation of the traditional family band, will be appearing in Oneonta’s free summer concert series held at the Neahwa Park Bandstand adjacent to Hodges Pond, at 7 p.m.
OPENING: The Smithy Pioneer Gallery of Cooperstown, will feature Graphic Novelist Joshua Ray Stephens and his new shows, ``Uprising’ ’áandá``Contrariety,’’áopening from 5 to 7 p.m. at 55 Pioneer Street in Cooperstown. The opening will feature live music and theatre performances by Glimmer Globe Acting Studio, as well as a host of food, wine, and beer from local establishments.

PRESENTATION: Marilou Trask-Curtin will speak on ``Memories of Main Street Oneonta’’ at the Greater Oneonta Historical Society’s History Center, 183 Main Street, at 6 p.m. áAfter the talk she will be available for a question and answer period as well as a book signing.
Trask-Curtin is an author, screenwriter, playwright, and poet.
