Thurs., Sept. 24

RUMMAGE SALE — A Rummage Sale will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel on Pioneer Street in Cooperstown. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Used clothing and small household items will be sold at reasonable prices. The event is conducted by the Women’s Fellowship of the church. Proceeds go to missions and church maintenance projects.

PROGRAM — Village of Cooperstown Library presents Night Navigation — A Reading and Q & A with Author Ginnah Howard on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Village of Cooperstown Library.

Friday, Sept. 25

Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Used clothing and small household items will be sold at reasonable prices. The event is conducted by the Women’s Fellowship of the church. Sat., Sept. 26

DINNER — The Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, located at 82 Main Street, will hold a Brook’s Chicken Barbecue Dinner with serving beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continuing until 7 p.m. The menu will include Brook’s chicken, potato salad, scalloped corn, cole slaw, rolls, assorted homemade pies and beverages. Tickets for adults will be $8. Tickets for children and chicken halves are $5.

DINNER — Spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. at Templeton Hall, 63 Pioneer Street in Cooperstown to benefit the Susquehanna SPCA. Menu includes spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce, salad, garlic bread, dessert, tea and coffee, cash bar. Reservations requested - 547-8111. Tickets also sold at the door. Adults $10, children 6 and under $5 each.

MEETING — The Stitching Witches sewing group will meet at the Fly Creek Fire House between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All sewers welcome. For information call 547- 1275.

EVENT — Annual Duck Derby and Family Day at Fortin Park in Oneonta on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Duck Derby begins at noon. There is live music by Flame, games, food, basket raffles and much more. FARMERS’ MARKET — Cooperstown Farmers’ Market open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market isálocatedábehind Key Bank off Main Street in Cooperstown with plenty of freeáparking in Doubleday Field. For information call 547- 6195.

Sun., Sept. 27

SUNDAY SOUNDS — Join a performance by comic lyricist and impressionist, Ody B. Goldy, from noon until 4 p.m. as he entertains guests with his humorous tributes to wellknown celebrities at the Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard. Name the song and writer and you might win some fresh cider. (In case of heavy rain or snow Ody’s performance may be cancelled)

Mon., Sept. 28

MEETING — Meeting of the Springfield Library Genealogy Group will be held at 7 p.m. in the library, 129 County Highway 29A in Springfield Center. For additional information, call the library 315-858-6802.

CLINIC — The Otsego County Public Health Nursing Office will hold an immunization clinic at the Meadows Office Building located at 140 County Highway 33, in suite 3 from 1-3 p.m. Parents must bring immunization records. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Cost is free for children 18 and younger. Adult immunizations are available for a charge. Wed., Sept. 30

WALK — Joe Hart will lead a walk of about three and one-half miles in length beginning at 2 p.m. in Arnold Lake State Forest. The trailhead is accessible by following County Hwy. 46 northeasterly for approximately three miles from State Hwy. 205 (south of Mount Vision) to Joe Cornell Road. From Milford, participants should take County Hwy. 44 to County Hwy. 46 and travel west for approximately four and one-half miles.
