FRIDAY, JULY 2

SERIES: The National Baseball Hall of Fame will host ``Perfect: Don Larsen’s Miraculous World Series Game and the Men Who Made It Happen by Lew Peper at 1 p.m. in the Bullpen Theater. The presentation is a part of the Hall’s Summer Authors’ Series.

SATURDAY, JULY 3

MARKET: Cooperstown Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with 30 vendors. Located in Pioneer Alley off 101 Main St, Cooperstown. (607)547-6195.

SUNDAY, JULY 4

CELEBRATION: Forth of July festivities are planned to take place at Lakefront Park in Cooperstown. The Cooperstown Community Band will perform at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks at dusk. The Cooperstown Rotary will provide concessions. If it rains festivities will take place on Saturday instead.

CELEBRATION: Participate in a patriotic and lively celebration of the nation’s independence beginning at 10 a.m. at The Farmers’ Museum.

TUESDAY, JULY 6

MARKET: Cooperstown Farmers Market open 3 to 6 p.m. Full selection of produce, meats, cheeses, crafts. Pioneer Alley behind Key Bank. For Information Call 607-547-6195.

CONCERT: Cooperstown Lakefront Concert Series featuring the Small Town Big Band at 7 p.m. at the bandstand in Lakefront Park. Bring, chair or blanket if desired. No charge.

SATURDAY, JULY 10

MARKET: Cooperstown Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with 30 vendors. Located in Pioneer Alley off 101 Main St, Cooperstown. (607)547-6195.

DOG WASH: Bring your dog or dogs to the Susquehanna SPCA between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a bath and nail trim. The services will be done for a minimum donation of $10 per dog. Reservations are appreciated and can be made my calling, 547-8111. Walkins are more than welcome however. The SSPCA shelter is located at 4841 State Highway 28 three miles south of Cooperstown.

BANQUET: The 78th Cherry Valley Central/Cherry Valley-Springfield Central Alumni Banquet will be held in the Community Center of the old Cherry Valley School. Registration and social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner provided by Brooks’ Barbecue.

The cost is $15 a person. A brief business meeting will follow dinner, and a DJ will provide music for listening and dancing. Reservations are requested and can be made by contracting Ms. Marge Dubben at (607) 547-5301.
