Gretchen Sullivan Sorin will be
speaking at the Cooperstown
village library on her doctoral
thesis ``Keep Going:á African
Americans on the Road in the
Era of Jim Crow.’’ Dr. Sullivan
Sorin will be discussing why
African Americans embraced
their personal automobiles for
interstate travel in an effort to
avoid segregation enforced
on public transportation
under the Jim Crow laws.

Friends of CCS Music and
Art Cabaret Night will heat up
