Hear about memories from HOF Inductees

For Roberto Alomar, Bert Blyleven and Pat Gillick, it will be a chance to reminisce about the crowning achievement in their baseball careers. For fans at the Clark Sports Center for the July 25 Voices of the Game program, it will be an unforgettable brush with baseball history.

According to a media release, Alomar, Blyleven and Gillick will relive memories of their baseball careers as well as recap the Induction Weekend during the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s Voices of the Game roundtable at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25 – the day after they are inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The event will be held at the site of the Induction Ceremony, the Clark Sports Center Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, and participants in the Hall of Fame’s Membership Program can reserve tickets now by calling 547-0397. Non-members can reserve any remaining tickets starting July 18.

According to the release, the annual Voices of the Game event is “just part of an action-packed Hall of Fame Weekend at the Baseball Hall of Fame – highlighted by the inductions of Alomar, Blyleven and Gillick as the Class of 2011 at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24.”

Admission to the Induction Ceremony is free. A complete list of Hall of Fame Weekend activities is available at baseballhall.org.

The release said the 2011 Induction Ceremony will feature 56 Hall of Fame members in and the speeches of the three newest members. The ceremony will be televised live on MLB Network, broadcast nationally on Sirius XM Radio Home Plate Channel 175 and will be available via a webcast at www.baseballhall.org.

Museum members receive free admission to the museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series.

The museum maintains the following Hall of Fame Weekend hours: Friday, July 23: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturday, July 24: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, July 25: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Monday, July 26: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Advance tickets are not necessary, but are available by contacting the Hall of Fame at 888-425-5633. For Hall of Fame members, doors open at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 8 a.m. on Monday. Hall of Fame members receive free admission. A members’ only entrance eliminates the need to wait in line. Interested parties may enroll in the membership program in advance or at the museum.
