Addy Lawson finished with game-highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds as 16th-seeded Milford won at home against No. 17 Cherry Valley-Springfield in a play-in game for the Section Four Class D Tournament.
“We made some shots and played good defense,” said Milford coach Jim Weir. The Wildcats led 12-0 on its Tri-Valley opponent after one quarter. “The two Loucks girls (Lauren and Jordan) are pretty good players and they didn’t get much.”
Lawson scored 12 points in Milford’s 20-9 third quarter, which gave the Wildcats a 45-16 lead. Lawson also had five assists, five steals and three three-pointers.

Freshman Maddie Zenir scored her varsity high of 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as host Milford won in the Tri-Valley League.
Addy Lawson’s game-high 14 points led the Wildcats, who jumped to a 13-2 first quarter lead.
Kaity Richvalsky’s eight points led Richfield Springs.

Jordan Loucks scored seven of her 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead Cherry-Valley Springfield to Tri-Valley League win on the road.
“She stepped up from the foul line,” Worcester coach Corey Pier said of Loucks, who went 5-for-6 from the line in the fourth quarter.
Jessica Thompson scored 10 points for the Wolverines, who also received seven from Cassie Sklenka.
