Benjamin Hale Campbell of Cherry Valley, a graduate of Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School, is among the 757 students who entered Colgate University this fall as a member of the Class of 2016. Selected from an applicant pool of almost 7,800 students from 50 states, 127 countries, and the District of Columbia, the class of 2016 is one of the strongest and most diverse in Colgate’s history, according to a media release.
In August, Chelsea Sams graduated from Philadelphia University with a master’s degree in physician’s assistant studies. Since passing her State Medical Boards, she has accepted a position as an emergency room physician’s assistant at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Mont. Sams is a 2007 graduate of Cooperstown Central School, and is the daughter of Dina Sams-Monie and Willis Monie of Cooperstown.
Jeremy Burke of Burlington Flats has been named to the president’s list at Berkeley College for the summer quarter. Burke is pursuing a degree through Berkeley College Online. Berkeley College students who achieve a grade-point average of 4.00 with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the president’s list.
